Turkey’s goalkeeper Ahmet Eyup Turkaslan died in the 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Turkey and Syria on Monday. Turkish club Yani Malatyaspor, where he plays professional football, confirmed his death.
Five thousand people have lost their lives in the earthquake. “Our goalkeeper Ahmet Eyup Turkaslan lost his life in the earthquake,” the statement issued by the club said, “Heartiest condolences, beautiful man, we will not forget you.”
