The Ministry of Water Supply has announced a toll-free number to listen to consumer complaints. Water Minister Abdul Khan announced the toll free number 1171 while organizing a program in the ministry today.
Today, Minister Khan inaugurated the complaint hearing unit on the toll free number which was tested three days ago by listening to the complaints from Janakpur.
He says that he sits in the call center one day a week to listen to complaints. He said that four employees will listen to consumer complaints every day.
He expressed his commitment to complete the work and duties of this water supply ministry, which is connected with the people’s life, with his sincerity. He said that even though Nepal is the second largest country in terms of water resources, only 25 percent of the people use pure drinking water.
