Nepal’s Kushal Bhurtel scored a century while chasing the challenge of 286 runs given by Namibia. He completed his century by hitting 4 sixes and 9 fours in 99 balls.
Nepal scored 236 runs at the end of 41.5 overs with the loss of 5 wickets in the ongoing match at the Trivi Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Kathmandu.
Namibia, who lost the toss and were invited to bat, scored 285 runs in the allotted 50 overs.
Namibia challenged Nepal to 286 runs with Michael van Leegen’s 133 and captain Gerhard Erasmus adding 56 runs.
Karan KC took 5 wickets, Sandeep Lamichhane 3 wickets and Sompal Kami and Kushal Malla took one wicket each for Nepal in an attempt to contain Namibia cheaply.
