Winger Christian Atsu, who was said to be missing after the earthquake on Monday in Turkey, has been found. Ghana’s national football team player Christian Atsu, who went missing in Turkiye due to a powerful earthquake in the Middle East, has been found alive in the rubble. More details about the health of the 31-year-old are yet to come.
The Ghana Football Association asked for a search after Astu became unreachable. Ghana made the request after the 7.8-magnitude earthquake in Turkey and Syria did not reach Astu on Monday.
About 5,000 people have lost their lives in the earthquake. The rescue workers reported that there was a problem in rescue and relief as the cold increased along with the rain. The Turkish government said rescue and search operations are continuing in the affected areas and the search for player Atsu is also ongoing.
31-year-old Atsu from Tespor scored a decisive goal against Kasimpas in the Super League game last Sunday only. Atsu played for Newcastle United for five seasons.
