Announcement of Nepal’s initial team for World Cup Qualifiers


Kathmandu.

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced the preliminary squad of 22 members for the World Cup qualifiers.

CAN has announced the initial squad for the qualifiers to be held in Zimbabwe from June 18 to July 19. The team consists of Kushal Bhurtel, Asif Sheikh, Gyanendra Mall, Rohit Poudel (captain), Kushal Mall, Arif Sheikh, Dipendra Singh Airi, Gulsan Jha, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Sandeep Lamichhane, Bhim Sarki, Pratish JC, Lalit Rajvanshi, Arjun Saud, Sandeep Zora, Dev Khanal, Kishore Mahato, Surya Tamang, Kamal Singh Airi, Shyam (Mausam) Dhakal and Abhinas Bohra.

Nepal was ranked in the top three of the League 2 series that was completed last March and directly qualified for the World Cup. 8 teams including Nepal will participate in the qualifying tournament to be held in Zimbabwe.
