After 24 days in Lumbini, the government extended for the second time, still not complete

Lumbini Pradesh Chief Minister Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary has expanded the cabinet after 24 days. Chaudhary, the leader of the Congress Parliamentary Party, who was appointed as the Chief Minister on May 14 with the support of 8 parties including the CPN-Maoist Center, expanded the cabinet on Monday after a long exercise. During the preparation of the budget, the ministry was criticized for being without a minister, but Chaudhary could not complete the cabinet yet.

On Monday, Chaudhary appointed Raju Khanal of Nepali Congress, Bhandarilal Ahir of Janata Samajwadi Party and Chandrakesh Gupta (CK) of Janamat Party as ministers. Khanal has been appointed as Minister of Health, Ahir as Minister of Agriculture and Land Management and Gupta as Minister of Social Development. The newly appointed minister was sworn in by state chief Amik Sherchan on Monday.

Santosh Kumar Pandey of the Democratic Samajwadi Party, who was previously a non-departmental minister, has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Law and Cooperatives, and Dharma Bahadur Chaudhary of the Civil Liberties Party has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development. Chowdhury, who was confused in the expansion of the government, on June 1, Dhan Bahadur Maski of the main party of the ruling party, CPN Maoist Center, was given the responsibility of the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

Although Chief Minister Chaudhary has expanded the cabinet, he has not been able to complete it. The Chief Minister has kept 3 ministries namely the Ministry of Water Supply, Ministry of Rural and Urban Development, Ministry of Forest and Environment and Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Transport. There are still many aspirants for ministers in Maoist and Congress. Likewise, the CPN United Socialist Party, which is in the ruling coalition, has taken the position that it should have a ministry. Due to the small number of many parties and ministries, there is room for expansion. The cabinet has been expanded because it has to work on budgeting.
