Hari Bahadur Budha Magar of Rolpa, who lost both his legs above the knee, has climbed the world’s highest peak Mount Everest.
Magar climbed the world’s highest peak Mount Everest with the help of an artificial leg at 3 pm on Friday. Along with this, he has set a world record by becoming the first climber to lose his leg above the knee.
Magar’s team climbed from the southern Mohda of Everest at 3 pm on Friday.
It is said that the climbing team was led by Krishna Thapa.
Magar, who joined the British Gurkha Army in 1999, lost both his legs above the knee in a Taliban ambush in 2010 during the war in Afghanistan.
So far, two people without both legs have climbed Mount Everest.
Chinese mountaineer Xia Boyle and New Zealander Mark English successfully climbed Mount Everest from Mohada, Tibet. They are climbers with no legs below the knees. – BBC
