The court allowed the 14 accused who were arrested for their involvement in the fake Bhutanese refugee case to be kept in police custody for 3 more days for investigation.
District Police Complex Kathmandu SP Sitaram Rizal informed that 14 people were detained and given three more days to investigate.
Among those arrested in this case, the statement of Angtawa Sherpa is yet to be taken. Statements of others have been taken. The public prosecutor’s office had instructed the police to complete the investigation quickly, saying that time was short. But the investigation has been prolonged due to the collection of evidence and the arrest of more people.
Keshav Dulal, Sanu Bhandari, Tankkumar Gurung, Sandesh Sharma, Sagar Rai, Indrajit Rai, Teknarayan Pandey, Balkrishna Khan, his father Narendra KC, Top Bahadur Rayamazhi, Sandeep Rayamazhi, Angtawa Sherpa, Ram Sharan KC and Govind Chaudhary are among others. The investigation of this case was carried out by the police from Chait 12th.
