Former Nepali Congress MP Angtawa Sherpa has surrendered to the police. Sherpa reached the Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) and surrendered today as an arrest warrant was issued against him for his involvement in a gang of fake Bhutanese refugees.
According to the police, Sherpa, who was on the run even before the arrest warrant was issued, surrendered himself to the police today.
An arrest warrant was issued against him on May 31. Sherpa became a member of the Constituent Assembly from Ramechhap in 2070.
