Kathmandu.
Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has said that monetary policy cannot make the economy sustainable. Speaking at a program organized by Economic Media Society Nepal, Dhakal said that the third quarter review of monetary policy cannot make the economy run as expected by the private sector.
“Though the Central Bank, the National Bank has given facilities for rescheduling and restructuring of bank loans, they have limited it to only five crores, until the end of June, the rescheduling and restructuring of bank loans up to five crores will not be enough,” he said, “for this reason, the third quarter review of monetary policy has also affected the private sector. Couldn’t get excited. ‘
He said that the review of monetary policy is not enough to solve the problems seen in the current economy. He said that due to this, the country has not yet come out of the challenging economy.
However, he complained that although the suggestions given by the Federation of Industry and Commerce in the third quarter review of the monetary policy were addressed, they were not fully implemented.
