IGP Kunwar’s US visit cancelled


Kathmandu.

Nepal Police IGP Basanta Bahadur Kunwar’s visit to America has been cancelled.

IGP Kunwar was scheduled to leave for America on Monday to participate in the leadership exchange program to be held there. However, it is said that he may have canceled the visit due to the case of fake Bhutanese refugees.

A five-member team headed by AIG Kiran Bajracharya has left for that program.

Along with AIG Bajracharya, the members are AIG Sudip Giri, DIG Ram Dutt Joshi, SSP AM Chandra Bahadur Dhami and Santosh Khadka.

They were seen off at Tribhuvan International Airport Gauchar by police officers including the DIG.

Washington D.C., United States of America from 27th to 29th of Baisakh. And the event, which will be held in New York, will share knowledge and experience related to future security challenges and financial crime investigation and control including terrorism, digital crime, cryptocurrency transactions.

The program is expected to improve relations between the security agencies of Nepal and the United States of America.
