From today, the fare of public transport running in Bagmati province has reduced

Kathmandu. The fare of public transport running in Bagmati province including Kathmandu Valley has decreased from Friday.

The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Transport of Bagmati Province has reduced the fare of short distance vehicles in Bagmati Province nine days after Nepal Oil Corporation reduced the price of diesel.

The fares reduced by the Ministry are published in the gazette. According to which the bus fare for the routes outside the Kathmandu valley and within the province has been determined. Fares have been reduced by 5.9 percent within Kathmandu Valley, 4.18 percent for short-distance public vehicles outside the valley, and 5.69 percent for freight vehicles.

According to the increased fare, passengers were paying 20 as soon as they boarded the public transport in Kathmandu Valley. Now it is said that it will cost a minimum of 17 rupees.

After the Nepal Oil Corporation reduced the price of diesel, the government adjusted the long-distance fare.
