Kathmandu. Speaker of the National Assembly, Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, has praised the support provided by the Pakistan government in the education sector of Nepal.
In the event held in Kathmandu by the Pakistani Embassy in Nepal to provide scholarships to students, he praised the Pakistan government’s support in Nepal’s education, health, sports and media. He said that the relationship between Nepal and Pakistan is good and the number of people going to study in Pakistan on scholarship and even while staying in Nepal is increasing. He expressed his gratitude for the continued cooperation saying that economic development of the country is possible through education.
Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal Awhar H. Hashmi said that the government of Pakistan will continue to support Nepal in the fields of education, health and development.
He said that the relationship between the people of the two countries is strong and expressed his belief that the scholarship program, even if it is small, will help the students. Scholarships were awarded to 198 students representing 43 schools across Nepal in the program.
