Kathmandu. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed his commitment that the government will move forward in the work of making policy and legal arrangements by restructuring the forest sector and clearly explaining the rights and roles of the local, provincial and federal governments.
Prime Minister Dahal said that the government is going to focus on that because that work has to be done for the implementation of federalism. Speaking at the opening program of the Seventh National Congress of the Community Forest Users Federation, which began on Tuesday in Kathmandu, he said that the government is also paying attention to the management of human-wildlife conflicts.
Prime Minister Dahal assured that the government will also take initiatives to operate the taxes collected by the local government, provincial government and the federal government through a one-door system. He made it clear that the government will continue the work to address the complaints of community consumers regarding taxes.
Prime Minister Dahal reminded that issues related to community forestry have been given high priority in the policies and programs presented by the government for the next financial year.
Prime Minister Dahal also said that the government is trying to increase the income and employment of the community by making use of the benefits obtained from the community forest.
