
Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr. Prakasharan Mahat has made it clear that he will not change the tax rates for any individual or businessmen.
He said this while speaking at the finance committee meeting held at Singha Darbar on Saturday. He promised not to change the tax rates only for his personal interests. He said that taxes and manipulations will be done keeping in mind the economy of the country as a whole.
He also said that it is necessary to create opportunities for employment and higher education within Nepal itself. He also said that the energy and potential of the youth should be used within the country as a priority of the budget.
He said that he will focus on giving priority to Nepali industry and business. He said that it is necessary to improve the economy and he said that he will work honestly for that. He said that the implementation of the budget is the main issue and after the budget comes, they will work by making a calendar. Finance Minister Mahat said that the government cannot and will not run away from the debt repayment obligations.
