Kapilavastu. Social testing of textbooks has been started in Buddhabhumi Municipality of Kapilvastu.
An organization called ‘Ghar Gharma Shiksha’ has started social testing of the materials in the textbooks taught in public schools.
Along with the errors in the textbooks, social testing of 12 books has been started with the involvement of public representatives, students, teachers and civil society to modify the textbooks in time.
The test includes books of classes 2, 5, 7, 8, 10 and 11. The founder of the organization, Homraj Acharya, said that in the beginning, errors in Nepali and social subjects studied by the students will be studied in the social examination of the textbook.
Acharya said that a team of 17 social personalities, a professor of Kathmandu University, is doing social testing of the book. It is said that the English subject will be tested later.
Sushil Chaudhary, President of Buddhabhumi Municipality – 4 Ward, said that during the book examination, the textual content of both books needed to be revised.
