Kathmandu. Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, Kulman Ghising, has made it clear that there is no problem in expanding the ring road anywhere because of the authority.
He said that he arrived there for monitoring and inspection along with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Narayankaji Shrestha and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chhan Song for observing the Kalanki-Basundhara road section under the second phase of ring road expansion on Thursday.
He said that as many as 15 poles are yet to be removed on the Kalanki-Basundhara road section and those poles can be removed within 15 days. He clarified that there is no problem for the expansion of the ring road anywhere due to the electricity authority.
Similarly, Sajna Adhikari, head of planning for the Kathmandu Ring Road Improvement Plan, said that the 8.2 km second phase of ring road expansion from Kalanki to Bashundhara is about to begin. He said that about 300 electric poles under which have been removed and now there are only 22 poles, so there is no problem for road expansion.
He also said that all the other temples except the one in Gongbu have been transferred to the 19 roadside temples. He said that the ring road extension in the second phase is only from Kalanki to Basundhara.
Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chhan Song, Head of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Balendra Shah and others monitored and inspected the road as part of the second phase of ring road expansion this morning.
