Kailali. The savers of Shiv Shikhar Multi-Purpose Organization Dhangadhi Branch have protested demanding the return of money in Kailali.
The victims protested by forming a protest committee saying that the organization did not return the money of the savers.
The victims have said that even after asking them to return the money repeatedly, they refused. Chairman of Shiv Shikhar Multi-Purpose Cooperative Victims’ Struggle Committee, Devdatta Bhatt, said that Shiv Shikhar Multi-Purpose Dhangadhi Branch has run away after eating 15 billion 80 crore rupees of savers.
The complaints of the victims are that the government has remained silent even though the funds collected by the citizens of all over the country have been embezzled by the Shiv Shikhar Multi-Purpose Organization. The officials of the said cooperative are absconding now. The victims complain that despite informing the local administration about the bullying by the cooperative, no hearing has been done so far.
Shiv Shikhar, which is expanding its services across the country, has closed its Dhangadhi service office a few days ago saying that it could not refund the money of its shareholders and customers.
Hemraj Joshi, the senior manager of the Cooperative’s Sudurpaschim province, said that the problem arose when savers began to surround the office to demand money back.
