Kathmandu. Preparations have started to export more electricity from Nepal to India.
In the ongoing Nepal-India energy secretary level meeting in India, the way to export more electricity has been opened with the discussion about exporting more electricity from Nepal to India. Currently, the 10th Nepal-India energy secretary level meeting is continuing in India’s Mount Abu.
The meeting is being led by Nepal’s Energy Secretary Dinesh Kumar Ghimire. India is being led by his counterpart Alok Kumar. In the meeting, it is said that more electricity export to India, construction of cross-border transmission line and other issues are being discussed.
The joint technical team (JTT) of the two countries held a technical joint secretary level meeting in New Dilla on 27th December and decided the agendas of the Joint Steering Committee (JSC).
